I first went to Ballymaloe 20 years ago when ravelling with my students. I stayed with a family who wanted to pamper me with the best restaurant in Ireland and they took me there. It was a revealing experience. I bought my first cookbook there and i have kept this memory for years!! Last summer i had the opportunity to come back and attended a demonstration. But i want more!! Now i'm unemployed and want to come back to my dream and passion, cooking!! If I win this ocntest it dream come true!!

I cooked this pumpking cake for the halloween party at my son's jacobo school!! We both dressed up like skeletons and took this cake with a ghost of fondant covering it and worm candies coming out from it!!I enjoyed so much preparing it!! I used butternut squash, deliciously sweet. I was afraid the kids did't like it and i was tempted to change the butternut squash for a more simple cake such as lemon, but I risked and I won!!The kids loved it!! I may be lucky now too!!
