My passion for food and interest in ingredients is part of who I am. I love to write, photograph, Tweet (@FreckledPast), and blog (http://EvinOK.net) about all things food and almost any conversation with me will lead to a discussion of a great meal, a kitchen tip, or a favorite recipe. Winning ChefFactor would allow me to enrich my culinary education and expand my expertise beyond the palette to the kitchen. My Beetroot Canapés are simple and made with local ingredients. Roast beetroot is blended with Greek-style yogurt and herbs, strained for a thicker consistency then swirled atop brown bread rounds. A garnish of scallions, chives, and bundles of beetroot slivers finish it off. Served chilled.
